My name is Clare Dare and I am the Childcare Co-ordinator for Duffryn Community Link.  My role is to support the childcare provision of

• Sunflower Tots
• Sunflower Tiny Tots
• Sunflower Wrap Around Playgroup
• Pili Pala Out of School Club

I worked for 13 years within the retail sector as an assistant and supervisor/team leader.  After having 2 children I started helping out within their nursery and infant schools.  This encouraged me to embark upon a new career and enrolled within the local college.  I completed the Cache Diploma in Childcare and Education Level 3 and became employed within the local community run play group and nursery.  I also worked within Flying Start.  Whilst working I continued my studies at the University of Wales Newport where I achieved a Degree with Hons in Early Years Education.  This led me to progress with my career to Duffryn. 

I have been working within this post since September 2009 and thoroughly enjoy working with the staff and meeting all the children and their parents.
