Name Julie Wysome
JobTitle Office Manager
Profile
I have been with the organisation since February 2002 after being made redundant from International Rectifier. I have 2 children, Leanne and Gareth and three step children, Jessica, Daniel and Clark and a grandson called Rowan.
I started out my employed career as an office junior, working on switch board, taking dictation and transcribing letters along with other general office duties. Once my children arrived I made the choice that my family would take precedence over my career. As a result to fit in with family life I took on various posts to fit in with when child care was available, such as working in a playgroup and working evenings within retail. Progressing for part time to full time as the opportunity arose.
While working part time in other fields of expertise I made the decision to carry on with my training and to take refresher courses in IBT and CLAIT, so that should the opportunity ever arise I could go back into my chosen field of work.
Now 8 years later I have come full circle; once again working in administration. Working for Duffryn Community Link has allowed me to progress further within my role as you can see from the various training I have undergone since being in post here and on the completion of my CIPD course.

Hobbies & Interests
Many years ago my hobbies were much more vigorous and numerous and included aerobic, swimming, horse riding, mountain walking and reading.
Now I enjoy a slightly slower pace of life and take part in Belly Dancing here at the Duffryn Community centre; I still walk (but the mountains aren’t quite as steep); I still love to read and find it hard to put a good book down. I socialise with my friends and love to go away for long weekend breaks with my partner, family and friends, staying at various places all over the country.
